  • There will be hot home made soup and bread rolls AFTER your ride back at the hub

  • Head off when you're ready as there is NO ‘mass start’

  • The March event from Marsh Farm is near Shepley train station but on the event day there sia bu replacement service. There will be free car and van parking at the farm on event day.

3. The routes

  • Each route is self-guided with no way markings saying ‘Mills n Moors route’

  • You will receive all gpx route files in the week leading up to the event

  • We ride on bridleways, farmers tracks, forest trails, urban greenways and the canal towpath

  • The routes are 80% ‘off-road’ on grass, gravel, peat and stone

  • All the routes are 95% ride able in winter conditions as we have selected hard packed gravel tracks but on both the January and February events there are two very steep tracks where most riders will be pushing their bikes uphill

  • Its your choice which route to ride as any type of bike is fine on each route

  • Minimum age of 12 years old when accompanied by a parent / guardian

4. The ride

  • The rides on the 'Mills n Moors Series' are a personal challenge.

  • They are not races and there is no ‘mass start' as riders sign on and depart when they are ready

  • Some downhill and uphill sections are physically challenging and if uncertain of your ability its best to get off and push

  • There are tracks across open moorland often with their own climate so appropriate layers and waterproofs are vital

  • A list of kit that you should carry is at the foot of this page

    5. Minimum Kit List

  • Wear a helmet that complies with the latest EN1078, ANSI Z90/4 or SNELL standards

  • Waterproof clothes including full length trousers and jacket

  • Warm layers for changing into stored in a dry bag
