3. GPx File

A ‘field tested’ gpx file to guide you around the 500kms single stage route will be sent to your email address a week prior to the event.

The GPX will have 'Points of Info' that locate and describe places to access food, water and shelter

The GPS will be on public view at Ride with GPS following the inaugural Pennine 500 event and so riders are welcome to experience the route as a DIY adventure.

Sign on with the £10 ticket and the gpx will be emailed to after the event.

4. TRACKERs

There will be a ‘dot watching’ page hosted by an established outfit where riders can register their own and hired GPS trackers. The event organiser will not be providing GPS trackers. Many riders have their own personal GPS trackers and they are readily available to hire.

The purpose of a tracker is to validate that the rider has followed the complete, official Pennine 500 route with their time entered onto the Pennine 500 page.

Some riders do not feel the need to have a tracker and that’s fine. They are welcome to sign onto the event and enjoy the Pennine 500 without a tracker.

Trackers are not for safety monitoring, and riders are responsible for their own safety.
