It is a self-guided ride with no way markings saying ‘Mills n Moors route’
Minimum age of 12 years old when accompanied by a parent / guardian
THE RIDE
The rides on the 'Mills n Moors Series' are a personal challenge, they are not race, there is no ‘mass start', the route is NOT way marked and there is no rescue vehicle.
We ride on bridleways, tracks, forest trails, moorland singletrack, dry peat, soggy peat, urban greenways and the canal towpath.
Some downhill and uphill sections are physically challenging and there are tracks across open moorland therefore all riders should pack full waterproofs and have an emergency contact number.
Riders take part in a Mills n Moors event knowing that it is their personal responsibility to ensure they follow the Highway Code when on roads, the Countryside Code when out on the moors and their own judgement when faced with changing weather and varied trail conditions.
Inclusive
We welcome women and non binary riders.
