The Pennine Skyline explores four landscapes in the South Pennines - the Don Valley, Holme Valley, Dearne Valley and Longdendale - by linking together bridleways and green lanes over the weekend of 7th - 9th May 2027.

The event hub is at Marsh farm at the edge of Shepley high above the Holme Valley in West Yorkshire and there are four routes with two of them having shorter versions. All four trails are suitable for gravel bikes and mtbs.

Ride one trail or all four. Camp from Friday and Saturday night or choose to go one night. Bring your tent, bivy bag or motor home. There’s a barn where riders register with hot water urns for tea and coffee. Portable toilets with cold water sinks. No showers but the grass pitches are flat and we have two water taps!

We use our local knowledge to put riders on classic tracks and hidden ‘off-road’ gems across landscapes in the north of England that are unrivaled for their natural beauty, historical importance and cultural diversity.
